Establish ongoing and sustainable funding for HSD. Funding would reinstate HSD’s local grant program, investing more than $7mil in our community since 2019. This bill reinforces community priorities by charging HSD to focus on public safety, unreinforced masonry, economic development, affordable housing, and advocacy for low emission public transportation.

HB 1810 aims to increase public safety, earthquake readiness, and affordable housing by identifying feasible opportunities to reduce the financial burden associated with conducting seismic retrofits of unreinforced masonry buildings.
