Since 2018, HSD has been making grants to community organizations who have identified issues or opportunities in South Downtown and created projects that improve our neighborhoods.

HSD's grant program has prioritized our value of neighborhood self-determination. Our grants are unusual in that we are geographically constrained, but most of our grants are open to grantees defining an opportunity or issue and then proposing their program or solution. Glass Art Storefront Activation & Lecture Series
Pilchuck Glass School
Supports glass art installations in Pilchuck's Pioneer Square gallery storefront, featuring world-class glass artists, both established an emerging, with priority given to artists who experience systemic oppression. Installations will be accompanied by digitally streaming artist panels.
CID Small Business Digital Equity Project
